From losing ฿40,000 to actually understanding the market
My name is Ton. I started trading IQ Option in 2018, aged 27, with the idea it would be easy "side income" — a few hours a day. I lost ฿40,000 in the first four months, nearly two months of salary.
The cause wasn't the platform cheating me. It was that I didn't understand what I was doing — no idea how OTC differs from real markets, what a Market Maker model means, never practised on a demo account long enough, and over-traded every day without any system.
After stopping for three months and starting over from scratch, I came back trading with discipline and a real understanding of what I was doing. CleverBrokers exists because I want new Thai traders — and expats in SEA — to avoid the same mistakes I made.
